Okay, so some of you might know I was planning to do a series of drawings which I was calling "portraits of four" but that is unfortunately no longer possible. I messed up the photos as the people being portrayed were tilting their heads differently, some people were closer than others AND my hard drive didn't download all the photos so when my computer crashed I lost a lot of them :/ (along with a lot of my music which didn't download properly :(

So it was back to the drawing board! but I didn't stay there long, I've now drawn my favorite fractal work, fav.me/d3r9i8f and it came out okay(ish!) but I don't have a camera so I can't show you guys! :@ A few days after drawing that, I've now gone onto a project which is very different to what I'm used to. A bit of explanation first- I moved into University Halls into a flat with 8 other people and I am really enjoying University life, though on some evenings I seem to have a lot of spare time. I've starting drawing my flatmates and instead of drawing each of them on A4 or A3, I'm going to draw them all on one bit of A3!! 8 (maybe 9 if I include myself) portraits on 1 piece of paper! :D I've never drawn portraits so small before and I've never tried drawing more than one person on one piece of paper so result should be interesting! I've almost finished the sketch for my first flatmate and it's not looking too bad. I might take a photo on my phone so you can see the progress as it's going. I hope to be finished before christmas and I think I might be looking at something between 40-90 hours. Will update that estimate once I've finished the first one.

I think once I've finished the whole project, I might move onto drawing my friends at home. At the very least, this will be a great learning experience for me!

Just some unarty related info, the University of Manchester is such an awesome place, I recommend getting accommodation at Fallowfield if you do end up going there, it's a very sociable place! I joined about 10 societies and I am only turning up to 2 haha! I went on a shopping spree earlier, came back with £150 less :bucktooth: to be fair £27 of that was food and £15 was *ahem* drinks...It's a Freshers thing!

I know right! *shock* *horror* I haven't uploaded anything in ages, so it's about time. I kinda got out of the rhythm of drawing frequently and I was put off by the clothing of this piece, it took me ages to get round to it :bucktooth:

These are some other reasons
3.I went on a couple of holidays, which were awesome! Scotland and (almost) Wales

4.I've been celebrating my results! A*AAA, not bad, not bad :omg: and preparing to go to the University of Manchester! It's going to be awesome! :D

5.Been totally distracted by my nice, shiny, new laptop which is for Uni. :)

But now I've rediscovered the joy of drawing awesome things, so I hope that they'll all be coming in quick succession now! I'll be taking a photo tomorrow in natural light as room light sucks for showing shades (well, for me atleast) and uploading it to here soon. I have a fairly busy day tomorrow though (meeting up with friends for a game of D&D) so if not then, it will be posted the day after! :D

I completely forgot what it felt like to finish a long drawing project, a brilliant mixture of relief, pride, happiness and achievement, it reminds me a lot of the "runner's high" 'cept without all the running :D

So I'm back :D

I'm going to try and keep this quite short so it's an easy read :D

1.Sorry for not replying to anything in the last 10ish days, I was wild camping in the scottish highlands, which is not particularly well known for it's wifi connections. :D In case you're wondering, it was awesome! I met a JCB mid way through a logging session in a forest :S also did a bit of the west highland way (brilliant walk, I recommend it to any hikers out there!) and walked Ben Nevis on the last day. :D

2.Haven't updated this in a while so just thought I'd mention that the DA meet up was great, I met a fair few cool people there and talked about all things arty and things not-so-arty on DA among other things. :D The group picture is pretty awesome as well! ^^

3.I'm going canoeing in Wales on Saturday so apologies in advance for not replying :D

4.nervously anticipating A level results now, a month to go now and I'm already on the edge of my seat. argh, I just want to be at Uni! :/

5.The "A Song Fire and Ice" (Game of Thrones) book set arrived at my door today, I think they might be quite good for taking my mind off results day.

Anyone else waiting for their results? How is everyone enjoying the holidays? (if they have holidays at the moment)

Good morning, lunchtime, afternoon, pre-evening, evening or night to you all! please pick whichever greeting is relevant at the time at which you read this! :D I thought I'd tell you a little about what has been happening over these past few months.

So first of all, I am happy to tell you that my exams are all over! I am back to drawing after so long! ^^ I have this really cool "4 portraits in one" idea which I'm going to try (it was a friend's idea technically, but he gave it to me, so it's my idea! :D) but first, I'm going to finish this Hayley Williams portrait! I noticed that one of my fellow artists on DA managed to keep drawing all the way through her exams and kept improving, she is now doing completely awesome pieces of art! So go check out her works-> :iconladysofhousen:!

I decided that I'm going to head down to London on June 30th for the DA meet up, but I'll be friendless, so if anyones down there, let me know and I'll hopefully see you at the meet! (I know a lot of you are from places like Bahrain, India and USA so I don't think I'll be seeing all you guys :( but leave a comment if you are!) I'm a bit worried, considering I've never done anything like this, I'm going by myself, I'm intending to meet up with 600 odd people I don't know, London is big, blah, blah but I hope it'll be fun :)

Anyone planning on doing anything interesting this summer? I have a couple of ideas, one is to learn how to frizbee like this guy www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JwV3c…, and my brother wants to do a 600 mile cycle down to the Lake district, which I'm not sure about considering we haven't done much biking but I'm open to crazy ideas such as these! :D At the moment, I'm hectically trying to organise a wild camp, hike thing in Scotland but unresponsive people can be really unresponsive! ¬¬

I think that be it for now :) Bye!
